"Traditional bigs often struggle with guarding in space," Lundberg explains. "Defensively, they can be a liability if they can't switch and guard on the perimeter. This leads to a drop coverage strategy, which leaves defenders vulnerable to open shots. And with the rising number of three-pointers in the modern WNBA, this is a real concern."
This point is crucial because Crooks' rebound average of 5.7 per game and her four rebounds in a 30-point performance against the Huskies highlight a potential weakness. She needs to address this before making the leap to the pros. While her offensive dominance is undeniable, a well-rounded game is essential.
